THE FAMILY CAMPOUT

We had such a good time! We were all sick, Evey grew a golfball sized lump on her head from falling on asphalt... but it was so much fun!

Eve is now walking! She actually has been for quite some time, but I'm just getting around to blogging about it. She also says quite a few words. She says, "mom," "more," "done," "Whoa!" and just recently,"no." She cracks me up. She does this fake laugh and she is always growling at people. The other day a movie was on and people were dancing. She would turn in circles and clap her hands, and when I would laugh at her, she would get embarassed and try to hide her face in the couch and she would laugh. We love that kid so much and we can't believe how fast she is growing up.

Opal is growing up too. She is such a good big sister. She is alsway taking care of Eve. She loves to give her a bottle and she will take away things that Eve shouldn't have and give her an appropriate toy to replace it. She is so funny. She can write her name and is getting pretty good at knowing the letters of the alphabet and their sounds. She loves to dress up, and does what I like to call "costume changes" while she watches a movie. A certain part will come on and she will jump up and say," Where are my black shoes? Where is my white dress?...etc." She then frantically searches for the right outfit, and by the time she gets it on, its usually time for another costume change. She also knows almost all the words to "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief," which cracks me up.

We love those kids!

A friend mine's sister had a baby that passed away recently. There are some auctions going on to try to raise money for the funeral. If you are interested in helping out, follow this link to Elizabeth Jarman's blog to find out more. Thankyou.

Little Evey makes our lives so happy. That kid is always smiling and loves hugs and kisses. She is also very active and almost walking. She has been crawling around on her knees for some time now and she loves when I chase her around the house. At her nine month appointment she weighed a little over sixteen pounds and she is getting her second tooth. She walks around on furniture like a pro, and she will take a step on her own every now and then. She is so adventurous and brave.

These are just some pics I took for fun in the back yard. These girls are so cute. We love them oh so much. and they are so hilarious. The other day we were driving by a school and kids were outside playing. Opal wanted to play too. I said, "That's a school. You are too little to go to school." She said, "I'm five! I'm five! I can go to school!" I said " No, You're three." She didn't say anything so I said "How old are you?" She got this really pouty look on her face and said, "Twenty." "And I can go to school!"
I really don't know where she gets this stuff but it sure keeps my life interesting.

L.A.

These are pics taken at the Getty art museum in Los Angeles. It is a beautiful place and we absolutely love it. It has an awesome art collection and very extensive grounds. It was so much fun to go there!

We recently went to Los Angeles. It was a really fun family trip and the girls were very good. I did have to bribe Opal with gummy worms at one point, but who hasn't been there, right? She actually did really well and so did little Evey. We visited 3 art museums (museums were the main goal) and went to the beach. Opal liked the beach, but she was very afraid of the waves, and was downright terrified when Will and I let our feet get wet. She was screaming, "Don't let it get you, mom!". We also persuaded her to chase the seagulls away so she could see that they were more afraid of her than she was of them. We had a really fun time!
