This is our most recent family picture...taken at the mesa arts center by a very fabulous photographer named Beth Jarman. If I may say so we are a very cute family...mostly due to the two little ones of course. But hey, they had to get those good looks from somewhere, eh?

Our two kids continue to amaze us and crack us up daily. As for Evey, well, I can't even look at her without cracking up because she has this big adorable smile on her face all the time. She is just a pleasure to be around all the time (I hope that's still true when she hits the terrible twos, but that's just a distant dream). We love her so much and she is so active and observant and sweet.

Opal is a little firecracker as always. A while ago Will complimented her on her dress (probably so she would leave it on) and she replied,"It's very expensive." Where she gets this stuff, I don't know. Also on Christmas Eve we were driving home and we said," Opal, it's Chrstmas Eve." She got really excited and said, " And Christmas daddy, and Christmas Opal!" It was pretty cute. Those kinds of things are daily occurances with Opal, she is so creative and funny.

Anyway just thought I'd update the blog a bit. We love our family!!

I recently fed Eve food for the first time. At first it seemed like she was into it. Then after a while...not so much. Of course Opal had to help feed her too. They are both growing so fast!

Yay! Opal is finally potty-trained. It's been about 3 weeks and she has had very few accidents. Once she decided to do it, it was easy!

Our little Evey is growing so fast. She loves to talk and tries to sing too. She loves music, watching TV and being with her family (and eating...lots!). She can roll over from her back to her tummy and her tummy to her back. Now that she has mastered this, she won't hold still! As of today she weighed 12 lbs. and 6 oz. and was 24 in. long.

HALLOWEEN

Halloween was fun. I was in charge of the trunk or treat party in our ward, and I think Opal had a pretty great time. A couple weeks prior to Halloween she started saying, " I want to be for Cinderella for Halloween!" She was pretty adamant about it, and my mom found this gorgeous dress at Disneyland, so we went with it. She could hardly wait to go trick or treating, and she didn't quite understand that she only got one peice from each person. I think her thought was," They have more candy in that bowl, why don't they give it to me?" Eve was a little bee, and she looked adorable I had her strapped to me the whole time in her carrier, but she was a good sport nonetheless.

Opal loves to dress up...in pretty much anything she can find. She contrived this outfit all by herself.

For those of you who don't know, or haven't noticed, or have noticed, but didn't want to say anything, Opal cut her hair. On conference Sunday I was feeding the baby and Opal was watching a movie. I couldn't see her, but I knew she was laying down in front of the ottoman like she always does, so I thought nothing of it. When Will came home from his meeting, Opal popped her head out to look at him...and that's when I saw it. I could hardly even speak. I just kept saying, "look! LOOK!" to William and he was like, "What?!" From my reaction he thought she must be injured in some way. After my shock wore off, I think Opal realized she had done something wrong, and she started crying. That's when I really started laughing. She looked pretty funny, and she kind of still does, but thanks to a very cute short haircut from Auntie Beth, we are beginning to recover.
