Halloween

Halloween was super fun this year. We had a neighborhood carnival a couple days before, and then a trunk-or-treat Saturday night. Mike, Christie and their boy Adden joined us. They had a great time. Opal was Rapunzel, Eve was Cinderella and Adden was a frog. They were so cute and people especially liked Opal's wig (my mom found it...it was perfect). They got tons of candy and had a really great time.

The New One

This is a pretty cool 3d ultrasound of the new baby boy. No name yet. We are still in negotiations. You can see his little face there at the top. He is snuggling with the umbilical cord.

It is way late but I finally got my computer working enough to download the pics from Opal and Eve's birthdays. I also have some pics from my nephew Kenneth's birthday. He now lives in Virginia...it's pretty sad.

Opal's birthday was super fun. She got a bunch of great presents and Aunt Jennie and my mom made her an awesome dragon cake, which she loved! We had a big family party and Opal had a great time.

Eve's birthday was a lot more laid back. My parents were out of town helping my brother move, so we didn't do much in the way of a big family party, but we had fun. Eve opened her presents and then Will's brother and his wife and son came over to bring Eve a present. Opal Eve and Adden all played in the baby pool for a long time, and we just has treats and played all day. It was a fun laid-back birthday. The difficult part of it came at night when we tried to put Eve to bed. I put her in her crib, walked out of the room and I almost immediately heard footsteps behind me. I was downstairs already, so I went back to the stiarcase and Eve was walking toward me. The little monster has learned to climb out of her bed and she acts like it was the easiest thing in the world to do! So now every night I have to stay in her room until she is asleep to make sure she doesn't climb out of bed.

I don't know if anyone reads my blog since I keep up on it so poorly, but I'll make the announcement anyway. I am currently teaching art lessons to kids ages 6-10. I am teaching on Tuesday right now, and I will start teaching in the afternoons when school starts, also on Tuesdays, I think. I am thinking of doing a 3:30 and a 4:15 pm class. If anyone is interested please let me know. I am having a really good time teaching the kids and they are having a good time too, I think. We have been learning all kinds of stuff, from basic drawing to color theory. You can leave a comment on my blog or email me if you are interested or know anyone who is. My email is anjajarman@gmail.com. Thankyou.

I know it has been forever since I have blogged. Our computer has been messed up and even now I am having trouble importing photos, but whatever. A lot has happened recently. Opal had her 4th birthday and my sister-in-law Jennie and my mom made her this fantastic pink dragon cake. I have pics and will put them up when I can get them on the computer. Opal is such a little character as always. She has started dance classes and I think she is really going to like them. She also enjoys, movies, swimming in our neighbors pool, and making art. Art can be anything from paintings or drawings to little sculptures she creates using her toys. She is so funny and smart, I can already tell she's going to start outsmarting me soon. Good thing I am still the mom and my word is law (most the time). Eve's birthday is tomorrow and I can't believe she will be two. I mean, she's been acting two for a while now, but still... she is growing up so fast. She talks more and more and loves to sing and dance. Her favorite song is "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and she climbs on anything and everything. She falls and hurts herself so much that I'm hoping she will make it to her 3rd birthday. I call her a little monster all the time, but she is so cute and sweet and fun to be around. She loves Dora and responds to all the silly questions they ask on the show ("who do we ask for help when we don't know where to go?" and Eve says, "Map!"). She is so smart and so hilarious sometimes I just laugh and laugh with her. We love our little girls so much and are glad we are expecting another one (hopefully a boy this time!).

Dragons!

Opal is absolutely obsessed with dragons. We have been finding these dinosaurs at thrift stores and she always insists on me making them wings, then we tape the wings to their backs. Thus they become dragons. But if the wings get lost don't worry, they are still dragons because they can just "flap their arms." I just took her and my nephew Joey to see "How to Train Your Dragon." It was really cute and we had a great time.

65th wedding anniversary

Yeah, you read that correctly. It was my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary and we threw a party for them on Saturday night. They are so awesome and are such a great example to me. I love them so much.

We had such a good time and saw a lot of people we had not seen in a while. It was a surprise party and they were very suprised and had no idea what was coming. Opal was a bit under the weather but she had a good time too.

The drawing is one I did for my grandparents. It is done using their wedding picture.

Nursery!...Sunbeams!

Eve is officially in nursery and Opal is in sunbeams. It was so nice to actually sit in my classes at church today. I hardly knew what to do with myself. I think Eve is a little aggressive to the other children, but hopefully she will simmer down soon. She is so cute and is beginning to put words together. If I disappear for .2 seconds she says, "mama..wha-yooo (where are you)?" She likes to boss people around, ("no-no Opal!" she says) and she sings pretty much constantly. Opal is learning so much and is always saying the most hilarious things. She is so quick to pick up on things and she is learning to play well with other kids and to be a good friend. Will's sister Iris and her 4 kids are staying with us right now, and we are having a blast, especially Opal who has a built-in friend (Jane, who is also 3 1/2). We are having so much fun and loving life.
